256 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Dinner Plate"

This is the absolute classic joke sting. I crafted this sound using in-the-box effects and royalty free samples.

The giant 1000 liter wine tank at red maple vineyard in the hudson valley - west park, ny. This sounds amazing for "old vocals"a very springy plate tank reverb. Complex and colorful. White and pink noise was played through two speaker exciter transducers attached the outside of the tank. 12gaugemicrophones black212 blumlein microphone inside the tank into behringer xr18, logic pro. Ambiance of a coffee shop.

Sounds of an 1,5 mm aluminium sheet sized 2x1,5 meters. There's also some sounds of paper the sheet was covered with. The recording starts with me sayin "blacha aluminiowa" whitch means "aluminium plate" in polish. Captured with zoom h2 @ 96khz/24-bit.

Linear decay produced from stereo pink noise to reproduce 80's plate reverb in a convolution reverb plug-in. This can be filtered to find best character.

Raw audio of a recording of me washing dishes then rinsing them and then drying a few of them. Recorded on a handy h2 zoom recorder.

Realised to my dismay that this sound was not available. A card tapping and scraping on a ceramic plate. Designed to imitate the noise of cocaine being cut up. Recorded on a tascam dr-40 in a 4m square kitchen. Tea towel was placed under the plate to cut out an excessive noise from the plate itself. Recorded with a low frequency cut off at 80hz.

Dialing the number 3. The dial plate telephone "fetap 611-2" (fernsprechtischapparat) in screaming orange was distributed by the german bundespost from 1972 on. It uses a real bell for ringing and of course it can only do pulse dialing. This was recorded with a single røde nt5 microphone via a behringer ddx3216 digital console into ardour. Normalized over all dial pulse samples of this set. Edit feb 2020: i changed the license to cc0 since i myself use cc0 material from freesound these days a lot.
